This march, many big organizations are hosting various hackathons and coding contests. It is an excellent opportunity for budding developers to showcase their technical and creative skills and stand a chance to win exciting cash prices and interview opportunities with top IT firms.
1. Cloud Fest Hackathon
Join the Cloud Fest Hackathon presented by Google Cloud, where you create themed prototypes using Google Cloud technologies and stand a chance to win amazing prizes for your stratospheric thinking!
The themes for this hackathon range from Healthcare and Financial Technology to Environment, Sustainability and Supply Chain.
It’s important to note that your solution must use Google Cloud Platform (GCP). All applicants that are shortlisted for the prototype phase will be given Google Cloud credits.
Eligibility:
This hackathon is open for all working professionals with 6+ months of experience.
Hackathon Structure:
This hackathon is divided into 2 phases:
- Idea Submission phase: Feb 04, 2022 — Mar 06, 2022
- Prototype Submission phase: Mar 25, 2022 — Apr 17, 2022
The shortlisted candidates will be a part of a grand finale where they will present their stellar ideas in a virtual live presentation.

2. Girl Hackathon
Google is organizing its first ever Girl Hackathon in India with the theme: Future of Learning.
This hackathon aims to provide a platform for women in the engineering campus space to showcase their problem-solving skills and promote innovative solutions for real-time technical challenges.
Eligibility:
All Indian women students studying undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in computer science or allied circuit fields from an engineering college in India are eligible to participate in the program.
- Group A: 2024 and 2025 Graduates
- Group B: 2022 and 2023 Graduates
Program structure:
The program is spread over 6 weeks (from March 19, 2022 to April 30, 2022) across different stages:
- Round one: Google Online Challenge (GOC): This is a coding challenge that will assess participants in coding/puzzles. The GOC will be held on March 19, 2022 and all team members will be required to participate. Teams will be judged on a group average and proceed to the next round based on group performance.
- Round two: Design document round: The design document round consists of a tech challenge that requires innovative solutions.
- Round three: Virtual hackathon (national finale): The virtual hackathon round on April 27, 2022 will enable the final teams to present their final solutions to a panel of judges.
Winning teams will be offered the opportunity to interview with Google and win exciting cash prizes!

3. Citi Digital Innovation Challenge
The Citi Digital Innovation Challenge is an opportunity for all passionate technologists to create path-breaking solutions for Citi and its stakeholders. The theme of this Open Innovation Hackathon is ‘Building the Best Digital Bank of the Future’. This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring developers, architects, and data enthusiasts to come up with innovative ideas and create world-class Digital Customer Experiences!
Eligibility Criteria:
- Working Professionals with a minimum of 1+ Years of Experience.

4. Walmart CodeHers 2022
CodeHers is one of India’s largest women-only coding challenges organized by Walmart Global Tech India. It’s your ticket to join and work for the Fortune #1 company.
This challenge offers young women from engineering institutions across India the chance to land their dream job. Top coders will be shortlisted and interviewed virtually for full-time software development engineering roles at Walmart Global Tech India.
Eligibility Criteria:
Walmart CodeHers 2022 is open to female students across all engineering colleges in India who are pursuing the following degrees in circuit branches (ECE, EE, EEE, IT, CS):
- BE/B.Tech. full-time programs — Batch of 2022 and 2023
- Dual degree full-time program — Batch of 2022 and 2023
- ME/M.Tech. full-time programs — Batch of 2022
- Only candidates with a 7+ CGPA are eligible to apply.
Competition Structure:
- Level 1 — MCQ Challenge: 25 objective questions to test your computer fundamentals.
- Level 2 — Coding Challenge: Shortlisted participants will be required to solve two problem statements in 90 minutes.
- Level 3 — Beginning the first week of April 2022, all top coders who have been shortlisted will appear for a pre-placement interview.

Admocs HackFest, launched in 2008, is a coding and hackathon competition for engineering graduates conducted by Admocs. This year marks the 7th edition of this competition.
Students will go through a series of industry problems and challenge their minds to provide creative solutions to these problems.

- B.E./B.Tech — 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students
- MCA — 2nd and 3rd-year students
Competition structure:
The competition will be spread over 45 days and will be divided into three stages:
- An aptitude/coding round
- Ideation and Prototype submission round
- Onsite presentation round

- Winner: INR 1,00,000
- Runner Up: INR 50,000
